Cheetah at Mara rescued

About the 7th day at Mara we were called by the park warden. Apparently a baby Cheetah had been orphaned when another group of Cheetahs ran the mother away. Poor baby was in the bush 2 days before it was captured by throwing a net over it. ...The 3 month old baby was terrified and in obvious distress when we arrived. Most wardens were wary of the baby so I picked it up and started to explain to them that it was just a baby kitten and would not hurt them. They all came by and started to pet it. After it calmed down I removed it from the net and cuddled it to the point it started their distinctive loud purring. As we had no IV fluids available we made a mixture of sugar and water and fed it with a syringe. The baby had been on its own for 3 days and greedily drank down the water. It was then placed in a box with a soft cushion and immediately transferred to the headquarters of KWS orphanage in Nairobi. A week later I went to visit it and it was doing well
